I am not blogging daily as of late.
School is busy.
A preschooler is busy.
That sounds so big.
But I've been busy and trying to stay on top of lesson plans and exciting life events (my brother in law is getting married!) and all of that good stuff that makes up life.
October is celebrated as Down Syndrome Awareness Month, and traditionally, a bunch of bloggers commit to 31 posts (one a day) for 21 (the extra chromosome that causes Down syndrome is an extra chromosome 21).
I'm going to try to join in the fun. This is my fourth year.
I'm going to try to blog daily because my life with a child with Down syndrome is good.
I'm going to try to blog daily because some families with a new baby or pregnant and waiting to meet their baby need to know that my life is good.
I'm going to try to blog daily because there is still a long way to go toward acceptance in our society.
I'm going to try to blog daily because so many gains have been made to include individuals with Down syndrome.
I'm going to try to blog daily because I believe that the more people know about life with an individual with DS, the more they will demonstrate acceptance.
And because all of Ellie's grandparents love photos.
P.S. Because I know life will get in the way, I will be publishing some posts I wrote in September but have saved for October.
