Our neighbor is going to be the "queen" at a festival. I told Ellie that we would go watch her be the queen and dance. Ellie told me, "No. Elsa queen." So there's that.
Ellie pulled a flop and drop leaving the park. "Ellie, can you walk like a big girl or do I need to carry you?" She sweetly stood up and put her arms up. "Carry!"
A week later, I told her to hold my hand because we were crossing the street. "No. Carry."
After work one day:
"Mama, I missed you!"
"I missed you too, but soon it will be summer and mama won't have to work very much."
"You're right, summer is hot."
"I blow it."
And she blew on the summer like you blow on hot food.
Getting her ready for bed way past bedtime:
She walked away. "Bye bye, see you Friday!"
And finally, there's this:
