{31 for 21} Thirty One.

Happy Halloween!

I'm sure I'll be back in the next few days with a costume post.  Ellie will be a cheerleader for school and a SHHAAWWWK (aka "shark") for trick-or-treating.

But today, I'm going to end this month of Down syndrome awareness with a handy tip: shot glasses (the plastic kind, like for Jello shots) to work on open cup drinking.

Ellie's teacher had mentioned it, I saw some in the store yesterday while buying the supplies for our Halloween arty, and I bought some.

As I checked out, the young, fun cashier said, "Oh, those are so cute!"

And I laughed, pointed at Ellie and said, "They're to help her learn to drink from a cup."

Feeling old but loving the skill development I'm seeing in our peanut.

  1. That is awesome :) Photos of Ellie drinking from a shot glass must go in the baby book. Love your blogging, Megan - thanks for sharing with us all month!

  2. That is a great idea. Now where did you find plastic ones?
