|Exhausted queen of the water table.|
Silly me, I thought that hours of water table fun would wear this little one out, but no luck. She did not take a nap. She did, however, stand up in her crib and "talk" for 30 minutes, at which point I threw my hands in the air, waved a white flag, and accepted defeat gracefully.
The babysitter reported that Ellie was falling asleep Friday night at 7, and she was down for the count by 7:30.
Yesterday was my long run. The humidity was high. A mile into it, I thought, "This might not be so bad." Two miles later, I swallowed some kind of bug. I don't know what kind of bug, but it was BIG. It flew right into my mouth, and I stood on the side of the trail coughing and half-laughing, half-crying that I was the crazy lady trying to get rid of the bug in my mouth. Needless to say, yesterday's workout was less-than-stellar, but at least it's done. Matt has a race today, I have one next Sunday.
On that note, we have to head out. Ellie and I are going to attempt to cheer for Daddy, then we have to get to the Capernaum banquet. Did you catch that I'm super excited about Capernaum?
